Earlier this week, there was a new hashtag associated with Donald Trump's campaign. Nope, I'm not talking about #MakeAmericaGreatAgain. Instead, John Oliver's hilarious #MakeDonaldDrumpfAgain took off. It came from a segment on Last Week Tonight, where he reminded everybody of Trump's ancestors' original surname, saying it better summed up his personality. Now Miley Cyrus may have beaten Oliver at creating the greatest 2016 election hashtag (you know, if that was an actual contest). On Tuesday, Cyrus made her disapproval of Trump known by sharing a photo of the GOP leaderboard and writing,
gonna vom / move out da country. #aintapartyindausaanymo
Did you catch that? She says it "ain't a party in da U.S.A. anymo'." Leave it to the 23-year-old to perfectly transform her own lyrics into a diss. I'd argue that "Party In The U.S.A." really exemplifies her best work. And let's be honest, she raises a valid point — things would certainly change if Trump is, in fact, elected into office. He's made comments that have offended women, Muslims, Mexicans, and more; based on the general public's response, Cyrus isn't the only one considering moving out. Fellow celebrities, like America Ferrera, Matt Damon, and Lady Gaga, have previously voiced their distaste for the candidate.
Even though that post makes it pretty clear that she's not rooting for Trump, Cyrus also shared an image calling the Republican candidate "a f*cking nightmare." But she wasn't done yet — she got even more political with another post on Wednesday, where she shared three side-by-side images of Trump and a supporter, that same supporter holding up a hunted animal, and Cyrus shedding a tear. Here's an excerpt from the caption:
YOU DT ARE NOT GOD NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU THINK YOU ARE!!! (& if he doesn't think he is "God" he thinks he is the f*cking chosen one or some sh*t! We're all just f*cking jam between his rich ass toes! Honestly f*ck this sh*t I am moving if this is my president! I don't say things I don't mean! )
There's no question about how she feels, given the analogy of Americans being jam between his toes. It makes it pretty obvious she thinks he's the worst possible option.
In case you're curious which candidate Cyrus supports, it appears she's siding with Bernie Sanders. She shared various photos of the Democratic candidate on her personal Instagram, including a photo of him marching behind Martin Luther King Jr. Another picture features Sanders alongside Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, along with the caption, "My 2 favorite dudes! Heart melts!" The former Hannah Montana star isn't the only celebrity backing Sanders. She's joined by Will Ferrell, Margaret Cho, Alyssa Milano, and more.
No matter who you're rooting for, there's no denying this election is stirring up a lot of drama. In case you need a boost of patriotism, I recommend listening to the song below. You'll be "nodding your head like yeah" in no time.
