Why JoJo Should Be The Next Bachelorette
These last couple episodes of The Bachelor have been pretty tough to watch. Everyone is falling in love with Ben Higgins and Ben Higgins is falling in love with everyone. And unfortunately, this is the kind of game where there can only be one winner at the end. This means that while one girl will be chosen and eventually proposed to (Ben has confirmed he's engaged), the other finalist will leave alone and publicly heartbroken. But alas, there is a silver lining: There is a chance that the woman Ben doesn't choose will star in the next season of The Bachelorette. Unless, I'm being fooled by the editing, the chemistry between Ben and Lauren B. is just undeniable. So unfortunately, while I don't think that JoJo will be chosen in the end, I do think that JoJo should be the next Bachelorette.
Bachelor Nation adores JoJo, but it really seems like the writing is on the wall with this season: Lauren is the one for Ben. Nevertheless, it is so sad to see someone so beautiful, outgoing, well spoken, and loving get the shaft at the very last episode. Part of me is pulling for JoJo to win The Bachelor , but if she does not end up engaged to Ben Higgins, then she'd definitely make a great Bachelorette!
1. She Made It To The Final Two
Making it to the final two means that fans have had time to get to know JoJo and become invested in her love story — they care enough about her to justify her having her own season. Plus, getting to the end and coming up short is so heartbreaking. She would definitely have the sympathy and support of Bachelor Nation behind her if she stared on The Bachelorette.
2. She Can Acclimate To Any Situation
JoJo has had some of the most awkward dates setups, but she always made it work. When she got blown over by the helicopter wind in Las Vegas, she laughed it off. When she had to swim with pigs on a group date in the Bahamas, she had fun with it and still managed to get alone time with Ben. When Ben told her about his tough time with her family, she was able to express herself and understand both sides of things. These instances show that she can definitely handle the pressure of being the Bachelorette.
3. She Can Say "I Love You" First
So many people are afraid to put themselves out there because they are afraid of embarrassing themselves or getting rejected. JoJo is very in touch with her emotions and is confident enough to put herself out there. She is ready to find love and has no issue with making the first move. This quality would make her the perfect person to look for love on reality TV (again).
4. She Will Have Way More Quotable Statements
JoJo was low-key hilarious this season. She said so many funny things, but wasn't super loud with her humor. Fans would be in stitches if she got more camera time because the quotable moments would just never stop.
5. She Is Not Afraid To Get Silly
JoJo is always doing something funny and is not afraid to look like a fool. I mean, she wore a unicorn mask on the first night! She could have easily been sent home for that weirdness, but she managed to turn it into a great ice breaker.
6. She Is Full Of Energy
JoJo has a constant smile on her face and always has a positive attitude. And she is never the person who is just standing there. She has played baseball this season, been enthusiastic about swimming in waterfalls, and is always leaping into Ben's arms. Her constant energy would make for some exciting dates on The Bachelorette.
7. She Has Stand-Out Style
JoJo is the style icon of this season. Whether she is wearing a bikini or a full length gown, this girl always brought her A game when it came to fashion. Twitter exploded in reaction to her week five dress and JoJo has been sharing her style insight on social media with each episode.
8. She Is Loved By Bachelor Nation
If Ben does not pick JoJo, she will be just fine — everyone loves her. During an episode of Bachelor Live, Chris Soules revealed that he is pulling for JoJo to win. Bachelor Alums like Ali Fedotowsky, Andi Dorfman, Ben Flajnik, Tenley Molzahn, Lacy Faddoul, and Jaclyn Swartz have been showing love for the 25-year-old on Twitter all season long. Jaclyn even tweeted, "Seriously, if JoJo is not the next bachelorette I'm not watching." And I think a lot of us agree with her on that one!
I am so torn between wanting JoJo to end up with Ben and wanting to watch more of her on TV, but as long as she is happy I am happy.
