Jacob Tremblay Has Out-Cuted Himself At The Oscars
Just when I thought that 9-year-old actor Jacob Tremblay couldn't possibly get any cuter, I was swiftly proven wrong. From the red carpet to the ceremony, it seems that the Room actor is going out of his way to make as many hearts explode as he possibly can. I don't know if he's doing it on purpose, but he's definitely hurting me. I'm just not equipped to handle this level of cute, you guys. I can only deal with so much. So Jacob Tremblay presenting at the 2016 Oscars was just the rudest thing I've ever had to sit through, because everything from his high-pitched voice to the way he interacted with co-presenter Abraham Attah hit me right in the feels. I just want to buy him a box of Girl Scout Cookies, and then have him present all of the awards for the rest of the night.
First of all, apparently Tremblay is a huge fan of Madagascar, because he got really excited to see host Chris Rock come out onto the stage with boxes for himself and Attah to stand on. Seriously, he called Rock hilarious just Rock played the zebra in Madagascar. Too much. Second of all, Tremblay and Attah came out to the tune of "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" from Aristocrats, which is quite possibly the sweetest and funniest thing I've ever been forced to witness. Third of all, Tremblay shared the mic so sweetly with Attah that they seemed almost more like brothers than co-presenters. It was all just perfect. (And the camera cut to Brie Larson screaming at Tremblay's appearance like a proud mom just made the moment even better.)
Seriously, can we just have Tremblay be the host of every ceremony between now and the rest of time? I know that, according to him, his bedtime is at 8 p.m., but the 9-year-old is literally killing award season without even being properly nominated for an award. Every time he shows up, something amazingly adorable happens, and I just can't handle it. I cannot.
