Kate Winslet Wore A Chic Accessory At The Oscars

There were a number of gorgeous gowns, dapper suits, and stunning jewelry on display tonight, but perhaps the single most talked about accessory was Kate Winslet's glasses at the 2016 Oscars stage. The Oscar winner rocked a pair of thick-rimmed eyeglasses while presenting two of the Best Picture nominees alongside Reese Witherspoon. Even though Winslet didn't wear them on the red carpet earlier tonight, her glasses definitely added a touch of unexpected chicness to her metallic black Ralph Lauren gown.

As if that wasn't enough, last year's Best Supporting Actress winner Patricia Arquette walked onstage wearing a similar pair of specs. This is the second year in a row that the acclaimed film and TV star has worn glasses at the Oscars. You might remember Arquette's passionate Oscar speech about gender equality last year, but while she was merely presenting an award tonight, her beautiful glasses were back on and looked as hip and beautiful as ever.

Making it three-for-three with glasses and Oscar winners, Whoopi Goldberg also sported reading glasses onstage. The actress and TV host wore an off-the-shoulder gown that proudly displayed her shoulder tattoo. I don't think anyone has ever looked this regal and badass at the same time at the Oscars, but then again, there's no one like Whoopi.
