There are a lot of contenders for cutest couple at the 88th Annual Academy Awards, but honestly, I think we just found the winner — and pretty early in the night as well. I'm calling it now, actually: When Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender kissed at the Oscars, they totally nabbed the title for the rest of the night. Sorry, every other couple in the room — it's been decided. When The Danish Girl star was announced as the winner of the Best Supporting Actress Oscar award, she looked overwhelmed with a mix of excitement, shock and joy. Looking equally as overwhelmed with excitement was her boyfriend of nearly two years, Steve Jobs star Fassbender. As Vikander stood up to head to the stage and say her thank yous, she adorably kissed Fassbender with excitement — and it was pretty much the ultimate #couplegoals moment of the night.
Fassbender and Vikander have been dating since 2014 — they apparently met on the set of The Light Between Oceans — but their relationship has been kept relatively away from the prying eyes of the public and paparazzi. That honestly makes them even more adorable in my book — they're lowkey, but clearly totally crazy about one another.
