When the news first broke that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are dating, I tried to remain positive. As an avid Keeping Up With The Kardashians fan, I sometimes feel like I know the Kardashian-Jenner family personally. (Come on, after 11 seasons, I can't be the only one who thinks this.) Although it was shocking he'd pursue Chyna — given the fam's previous drama with the model — I thought, maybe it's not the worst idea in the world. Well, it turns out I may have been mistaken, if Rob's latest Instagram is any indication. In the NSFW post, he suggests that his relationship is causing a major family rift. The 28-year-old shared a quote that says,
When the p*ssy good but your family don't like her so you drop your family and become an orphan
Although that sounds a little sad, don't worry, there were three smiley faces at the end. In case that's not enough emoticons, he also used two cry-laughing emojis in the caption. Once you take a moment to process that news, let's dissect what it means, because I'm sure my fellow KUWTK fans have just as many questions as I do.
Here's everything that went through my mind when seeing Rob's Instagram and what this all may mean.
1. So, This Means The Rumors Are True & The Family Really Dislikes Chyna, Right?
Admittedly, I was hoping they could all leave the past in the past and play nice. But it seems like the rumors are indeed correct: It was too much for the family to handle. Honestly, I just can't imagine Thanksgiving wouldn't be awkward if Kylie Jenner is sitting there with Tyga, while his ex and the mother of his child, Chyna, is sitting across the table holding hands with Rob. I'm cringing at the thought.
Plus, there's also that whole Twitter exchange that happened between Khloé and Chyna's BFF Amber Rose. The history of drama must have been too much to just brush under the rug.
2. Does This Mean He Left Them, Instead Of The Other Way Around?
This quote seems to totally change what most people thought happened. It's not like they turned their backs on him; he's the one who went his own way. It also implies that he'd rather be separated from his family than abandon Chyna. These two are seriously like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet.
Either way, he's putting Chyna before his family's wishes, so that must mean their connection is going strong. Despite rumors that she's a bad influence, this really is the longest period of time in awhile that Rob has been active online and he legitimately seems to be in a much happier place. If that's his new girlfriend's influence, then that speaks volumes.
3. Is He Joking? He Must Be Joking. (Please Say He's Joking?)
The only possible light at the end of the tunnel is the fact that Rob used those cry-laughing emojis, which seems to show that he finds the whole situation funny. Could it be possible that he posted this meme, knowing that it'd give into the rumors and spark attention. Maybe he's just kidding and feeding into the drama people want to here.
Family pranks are a recurring theme on KUWTK , so maybe this is him just making a joke. (Unlikely, but I'm trying to explore all the options here.)
4. Rob Really Loves Memes, Huh?
This isn't the first time that Rob summed up his relationship with Chyna by posting a meme on Instagram. The last time was a photo a fan put together, showing the model holding a carseat. The caption said,
Blac Chyna probably out shopping rite now as she plan to give birth to the only next generation of the Kardashian name! #BabyKardashian
It seems like that time his post was definitely in jest. So that gives me some slightly more hope he's joking around with this latest one.
Regardless of what this all means, it's a lot to process. And personally, I'm rooting for Rob and the family to reunite! They've already been through a lot together, so I'm sure this is something they'll get through too.
