A Destiny's Child Reunion Just Happened

by Mallory Carra

As if there isn't enough to love about Beyonce, here's one more thing: No matter how famous she gets, Bey always stays true to her Destiny's Child roots. There's no bad blood between her, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, as shown by the fact that Destiny's Child reunited for Kelly Rowland's birthday party last weekend. It's not the only time this trio has proven that their friendship has only gotten better with time, but it is one of the best. According to Us Weekly, Rowland, who just turned 35, celebrated her day at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles and the gang was all there — and they took a sweet photobooth snap to prove it.

Rowland posted photos from the party on her Instagram account, and there's one of her and her former bandmates in the booth, totally working it. In other photos, Rowland poses with Beyonce's mom Tina Lawson, and she also does her own tribute pose to Beyonce's latest iconic music video for "Formation" rocking a hat and slaying it. According to Us Weekly, this wasn't the only time Bey and Rowland hung out during the weekend — Beyonce, Jay Z, and Rowland attended The-Dream's concert on Friday night in West Hollywood. It's just so awesome that these ladies are still friends after all these years.

It's almost hard to believe that before Beyonce was, well, Beyonce, she was one-third of the girl group Destiny's Child with Rowland and Williams, which gained fame in the late '90s for singles like "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Jumpin' Jumpin'," "Survivor," and "Booylicious." But even once Destiny's Child took a hiatus and Bey became a wildly successful solo artist, the trio never stopped hanging out and performing together. When Beyonce rocked the Super Bowl Halftime show in 2013, Rowland and Williams joined her on stage to sing some of their old hit songs. Then, last November, Rowland and Beyonce hung out at a Las Vegas boxing match, and they posted several Instagram snaps of their time together.

But as for an official reunion, Rowland has told Us Weekly that it doesn't look like it'll happen anytime soon. "It hasn’t been something that we’ve talked about at all,” she said. "We’ve just been enjoying each other, whether it’s been about our music, whether it’s been about motherhood or our personal lives... That’s been the most beautiful part."

Oh, well — at least these casual reunions keep happening. Check out more of the adorable reunion pics below.
