For a show that prides itself on destroying its fans emotionally, Friday night's episode of The Vampire Diaries was definitely overflowing in the fantastic news department. Not only was it confirmed once and for all that Elena is still alive, but now it looks as though Caroline is heading to New Orleans on The Vampire Diaries , which could signify a particular reunion many viewers (myself very much included) have been dying to see. I can't believe I'm about to type out these words, but I think we can all expect a Klaroline reunion on TVD in the very near future! Because, obviously, this means that Caroline is going to visit Klaus, right?
Now, if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I am a HUGE Klaus and Caroline supporter, so this possibility has pretty much left me on the brink of mass hysterics. (Not that I'm complaining, of course!) But before I go and get myself even more worked up than I already am, let's take a moment to go over everything we know, just to make sure we're all on the same page. Also, if someone wants to come over to my apartment and pinch me to make sure this isn't just another one of my TVD dreams, that would be great.
Anyways, back to business! At the end of the episode, we were treated to yet another flash forward scene from three years into the future. This one focused on Caroline, who was driving Alaric's twins (who call her Mommy, by the way) out of town in order to get away from The Huntress. And when one of the little girls asked where they were going, she responded by saying: "To New Orleans... to visit Mommy's friend." Hmmm, who do we know that lives in New Orleans that would be powerful enough (and more than willing) to protect her? Klaus Mikaelson, of course! So odds are we can expect to see Klaus and Caroline share some screen time in the very near future, even if it's just in those brief flash forward instances. But at this point, us Klaroline 'shippers will take what we can get!
The only downside to this is that the odds of a Caroline crossover episode on The Originals in basically slim to none. Her trip to go see him takes place three years into the future, and since The Originals aren't dabbling in the flash forward sequences (yet), the time line wouldn't work to make it happen. BUT STILL. This is excellent news and proves that she's still able to count on Klaus when she's in trouble after all this time. So I guess what I'm trying to say here is BLESS YOU, JULIE PLEC! You've made my life complete.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go scream/squeal into a pillow for hours on end. BRB.
