Miranda Kerr Chopped Off All Her Locks
You know those celebs that you think will never cut their hair short? Well, one of them actually went and did it and proved me entirely wrong. Miranda Kerr got a lob, according to People Magazine, and if you thought beachy, Victoria's Secret hair totally suited her, just wait until you see this edgy chop.
Though the model has never really had super long hair, she's never gone too short, either. She has always stayed relatively in her comfort zone with a mid-length style that worked perfectly for sleek and polished strands, or more tousled curls, á la Victoria's Secret. But all that's finally changed, because Kerr took the big plunge (or rather, chop) and got a lob. And you're totally going to want to cut your hair now — even if you've been afraid to do it.
Not only did the 32-year-old show off her shorter 'do on Instagram, but Harper's Bazaar also posted a video on Friday documenting the entire transformation. The new cut is courtesy of her stylist, David Keogh, and is breaking down the stereotype that sexy is synonymous with voluminous curls and mermaid hair. “Gone are the days of curls and ringlets. Here comes sexy, tousled hair," says Kerr. Preach.
Honestly? This tousled, undone look is totally sexier than the beach hair, in my opinion. I'm also loving the dramatic, deep side part.
She's already made her red carpet debut with her hair, and although it's new, she already knows how to work it. It's long enough that it can still have a curl, but it's more textured and edgy than her long hair was.
Overall, it's a hairstyle that just looks effortless, and there's nothing sexier than that. Not that her long hair wasn't great or anything, though. Whether she was going Old Hollywood glam:
Or rocking the voluminous curls:
She always looked flawless, but I like the easy, effortless lob the best.
If you want to steal her new style, watch the video to see exactly how it was done.
Celebrities should always document hair transformations from now on. Just saying...
