Dave Grohl + Red Solo Cup = 2016 Grammys Win

by Caitlin Gallagher

If you weren't a fan of Dave Grohl before the 2016 Grammys (what is wrong with you?), your mind should have been changed the minute you saw the frontman of the Foo Fighters getting down during the Lionel Richie tribute. Not only was he singing and dancing along to Richie performing "All Night Long (All Night)", but Dave Grohl was drinking from a red solo cup at the during the 2016 Grammys. I repeat: Dave Grohl is such a badass he drank from a red solo cup at the 2016 Grammys.

As a founder of Nirvana, among his many other musical ventures, Grohl is pretty much musical royalty, so he can do whatever he wants at the Grammys — including enjoy a boozy drink or two from the world's classiest cup. Grohl also can backup his Richie love since, two days before the Grammys, he performed Richie's song "You Are" at MUSICARES' Person of the Year tribute — after sharing a funny story about a basket of muffins.

I would have loved to be in the Grammy audience on Feb. 15 during the Richie tribute (did you hear, Demi Lovato?), and the only thing that would have made it better would have been to be placed next to Grohl, enjoying a drink in a red solo cup and grooving.

Just like that.
