Queen Bey Slayed The Grammys As Always

by Marie Southard Ospina

Queen Bey has been on many minds lately, what with her surprise release of "Formation" and that Super Bowl halftime performance that honored the late Michael Jackson through the kind of sartorial glory that the Prince Of Pop would've probably loved. On Feb. 15, Beyonce at the 2016 Grammys is slaying yet again in what basically feels like a surprise appearance, but this time it's for being a real life angel. The heavenly, high neck, see-through-insert gown she wore when announcing the winner of Record Of The Year was perfection if I've ever seen it. There are few moments during which Yonce isn't killing it in some capacity, whether she's singing on stage, dressing in couture gowns, or encouraging us all to see the flawlessness in our individuality. The 58th Annual Grammy Awards is no exception.

Unlike us Northeastern folk living through the current cold front, Beyoncé's in Los Angeles tonight, no doubt there to celebrate some of the biggest, raddest names in the music business. Although she isn't nominated for any awards this evening (let's keep in mind that "Formation" only just dropped last week, guys), she's undoubtedly a winner of the awards show. If for no other reason than she's the only human being in the universe who could keep us complacently waiting for five hours just to get a peak at what she's wearing. We could all wax on about Bey's talents as a musician, a performer, a voice. But as a hopeless style lover, I just want to say that she nailed tonight's appearance. Just look at that angelic masterpiece.
