Imagine this scenario, which actually happened/is happening to moi. You log on and manage to beat the masses and successfully order a Kylie Lip Kit, all of which have sold out instantly upon launches and restocks. You know the lipstick gods are on your side when you receive confirmation that your order went through. But you're not done and a bigger question remains. How long do the makeup unicorns known as Kylie Lip Kits take to ship?
Well, the shipping period after placing an order and the rates are actually super reasonable and the Lip Kit team works around the clock to fill orders, according to their Insta posts. But when you actually receive a magic tube of these cult 'n' coveted matte liquid lipsticks is a matter of mother nature, potential human error, customs clearance, and the post office.
The Kylie Cosmetics shipping policy is clearly posted on the brand's website. KLKs ship via the USPS both domestically, for $8.95, and internationally, at $14.95.
Domestic orders are processed within three to five business days, with delivery expected three to six days after that. The shipping page is explicit about the reasons that delays can, do, and will happen. Yours truly is currently experiencing one of those delays, but more on that in a sec.
The site notes the following: "We are not responsible for any shipping deliveries that may be affected by customs, natural occurrences, transfers from USPS to the local carrier in your country or air and ground transportation strikes or delays, nor any extra fees, customs or back end charges once the package has exited the United States."
So, yeah, it's spelled out in black and white. The Lip Kit shipping policy warns customers about delays during the busy holiday season and the brand basically absolves itself, effectively saying "Once the Lip Kit leaves the building, it's up to the post office to get it to you." That's a fairly common practice.
Now, by doing the math quickly, your order can take anywhere from six to 11 days to arrive. But if yours is processed first, it could take as little as three days to arrive. It really feels like a matter of luck and perhaps the proximity of your location to the shipping origin.
I somehow managed to score a glorious tube of Candy K on Friday, Feb. 5 when the Valentine's Day colors and a restock of the original trio of neutrals were made available. It's Monday, Feb. 15 and I AM STILL WAITING FOR CANDY K'S GRAND ARRIVAL!
I am tracking the package and it's at a local post office, waiting to arrive at the one down the street from my house. It should land tomorrow. Good thing I wasn't planning on wearing it on Valentine's Day.

If Candy K gets here tomorrow, it will have been an almost two-week situation, not accounting for weekends and the holiday. Whatever, though! It's fine. I'm not mad. Just anxious! I will provide a full report once Candy K is here and I'm making kissyfaces while wearing it.
