Yeezy Season 3 Really Was A Change Of Pace

The highly anticipated Yeezy Season 3 show has come and gone, but in typical Yeezy style, he’s given us plenty to mull over in our minds for days to come. Based on teaser tweets from Kanye West himself and some on Instagram from his wife Kim K, I really didn’t see what I thought I’d see on the “runway” in Madison Square Garden. But, these up-close photos give a better look at Yeezy Season 3 and show a whole lot more of what the world was actually expecting, something different from the past seasons. A lot of what I personally was hoping for was actually there, it just wasn’t apparent from the way the clothes were displayed through the livestream feed on my tiny computer screen.

But, since it was ‘Ye, I woke with fresh eyes today and decided to look at the clothing and give this season a chance. The Yeezy Season 3 show was an amazing fashion/music combo kind of thing, but it didn’t really display the garments in the best way. It wasn't until I saw these photos that I realized this third season is so much more different than I originally thought.

This time around there are see-through boots, high heels and red sneakers that I totally missed during the show. There’s also a lot more color and texture in the clothing themselves. So, I’m glad I decided to give ‘Ye a second chance on this collection, especially since I may be able to afford to own pieces from this one. Take a good look at these pieces up-close and see if they don’t change your mind, too.

1. Colorful Sneakers

I'm loving that these looks were styled with red sneakers. Good move, Kanye.

2. More Texture

This bulky jacket has an interesting texture that I definitely didn't see in the previous collections.

3. Thigh-High Boots

What I thought were just socks before actually appear to be boots! Will this be Kanye's new hot shoe?

4. See-Through Shoes

These see-through booties are everything.

5. Leather

And is that an oversized leather jacket? I don't think there's an ounce of leather in Season 1 or 2, and I'm liking the luxe feeling it adds to this line. A little leather goes a long way.

6. Pops Of Color

The bras are a little more playful this time around, and Kanye definitely experimented with color.

7. Brighter Monochrome

The previous seasons were definitely all about monochrome, but definitely didn't feature any all-over orange ensembles.

8. Metallic Windbreaker

Yeezy Season 1 & 2 may have had windbreakers, but were they this cool and metallic? I don't think so.

9. Yeezy Collab

You want to talk about something the other seasons definitely didn't have? Balmain for Yeezy. That's for sure. OK, so maybe you can't buy these looks, but they sure are different than anything Kanye has done before!

While I do feel better about this season now, it really doesn't matter what the rest of us think, because West is happy with what he's done. The score is Kanye 1-World 0.

And that's all that really matters, right?
