Check Out New 'Me Before You' Movie Book Cover
If we can tell anything from this year's Academy Award Best Picture nominees it's that book-to-movie adaptations are bonfire hot right now. And fans have already proven that again with the insanely anticipated movie adaptation of JoJo Moyes' Me Before You . Now, book nerds who have been spreading the word to all their BFFs since 2012 about just how good the book is have the movie in their future, and they also have the new book cover based on the movie. Bustle teamed up with the team at Viking and Penguin Books to give you the first exclusive look at that new Me Before You cover.
In case you're waiting for the movie to go back and read the book, here's what you can expect: Both Louisa "Lou" Clark and Will Traynor are struggling when they first meet. Lou just lost her job, which her family depends on for the cash flow; Will was in a motorcycle accident that has left him permanently disabled and without the will to live. But when Will's mother hires Lou as Will's caregiver, Lou starts to show him that life is worth living after all.
Book-to-screen adaptation fans will probably already recognize the actors behind Lou and Will — our favorite dystopian fisherman and the Mother of Dragons herself. Sam Claflin, aka the swoony Finnick Odair from the Hunger Games movie series, plays Will and Emilia Clarke, aka Daenerys Targaryen — aka Daenerys Stormborn, aka Khaleessi, aka Breaker of Chains — from HBO's Game of Thrones brings Lou to life. But the exciting literary character actors don't stop there. Potterheads must know that Neville Longbottom, or Matthew Lewis, plays Lou's (gasp) longtime boyfriend Patrick.
But back to the new book cover. Here's your first look:
Swoons! The new Me Before You book cover will hit shelves April 26, and the movie is coming to theaters June 3. Prepare the tissues.
