Beyonce's First Grammys Outfit Was Unexpected

Queen Bey might be continually evolving as an artist, but her style has always been on point. Looking back, Beyonce's first Grammys outfit was unshockingly glamorous and simple, but totally set the tone for her dazzling rise to cultural icon-dom. That's right, Bey is way, way past mere stardom.

I have no idea what Beyonce will be rocking at the Grammys this coming Monday evening, but if it's anything as dazzling as her look from 2000 (or her recent Super Bowl outfit), things are going to be chic and sparkly.

Her first Grammys red carpet ensemble featured a strapless champagne colored crop top and matching ballgown skirt. The entire thing featured a bazillion embroidered dazzling beads, and she topped it off with classic early '00s dangly earrings. On the hair and makeup front, young Bey opted for a simple set of old Hollywood style ombre curls framing her face, along with subtly bronzed cheeks, a glossed out nude lip (that would make Kylie Jenner proud), and a smoky eye. She might have looked more sweet than fierce back in the old Destiny's Child days, but you can totally see that #Queen sparkle in her!

Of course, she wasn't alone during her first Grammys red carpet appearance — the Destiny's Child ladies were right by her side. They, of course, matched her champagne palette with complimentary colors — sparkly whites, beige, gold, and bronze.

So cute, right?

2015 was a more vampy take on 2014. I still can't get over the pops of shimmer on that sexy gown.

If Bey's 2016 outfit is anything like her previous ones, it's bound to make us all bow down.
