The One Thing To Stop Frizzy Hair From Happening
Frizzy hair might seem like one of those inevitabilities in winter with all the on-and-off hat action, but it really doesn’t have to be. If you’re constantly struggling hard with frizz, you need to try the one thing to stop frizzy hair. It’s time to kiss static goodbye once and for all, my friends.
In case you're not completely sure why frizzy hair is so staticky, fellow Bustler Jessica Willingham broke down exactly what's going on with your hair and why it's doing it's annoying thing. "According to WebMD, frizzy hair is actually damage to the outer most part of your strands — the cuticle. The cuticle is comprised of thousands of tiny shingles, and when they are lifted and peeled away from the strand, you get poof."
Thanks to two different factors, I've definitely been butting heads with annoying frizz this winter. For starters, I wear beanies way too often and always end up with frizzes when I take them off. Second, I got a really cute pixie cut with razored edges that unfortunately puff up hardcore sometimes. Luckily, I've learned how to effectively manage my hair even when I feel like someone must be secretly rubbing a balloon all over my head.
So, what's the one thing to stop frizzy hair? Consistently use a once weekly deep conditioning treatment. As explained in Huffington Post, "This will help to replenish the moisture, which tends to get depleted from things such as the dry heat in your apartment and the cold winter air."
Whether your hair is pin straight, curly, natural, thick, thin—whatever, there's a deep conditioning mask out there that's right for you!
