Peggy Carter wouldn't be a true hero if she didn't at one point need to call on a former foe for help, and that time has finally come. Season 1 villain Dottie Underwood is back on Agent Carter in next Tuesday's episode, which is sure to be a fun dynamic for all.
We last saw Dottie in the premiere episodes, where she attempted to rob a bank while dressed as Peggy Carter, was arrested by the SSR and then handed over to the FBI. According to the official ABC press release for the episode "Life Of The Party," "When Peggy realizes she cannot save Wilkes on her own, she turns to her most unexpected adversary for help." So this is maybe more about reappearing Jason than taking down Whitney Frost. Considering he vanished again at the end of Tuesday's episode, I'm not surprised that this has taken priority.
In the promo for next week's episode, Dottie is already sassing it up — she calls Jarvis "Jeeves" and points out how scared or in need of help Peggy seems to be at every occasion. Lovely. One of the problems, of course, is that we already know Dottie was trying to get into the same social club that Whitney's husband belongs to and Peggy is trying to bring down. That's not a small snafu. How am I supposed to believe that Whitney and Dottie won't just team up and be evil together? They're clearly already working for the same people. As much as I love it when enemies are forced to work together, there's no way this plan works. Check out the promo below. It's foreboding, but there is also dancing!
Honestly, I just hope we get scenes with Dottie and Rose the SSR secretary. How awesome was Undercover Rose on Tuesday's episode? Agent Carter is great not only because of its amazing female lead, but the range of female characters that fill in the show — from Dottie to Violet, Rose, Whitney, and even Angie. Remember Angie? Hopefully, after Miss Underwood, she'll be returning to Agent Carter next!
