For true zombie fanatic and survivalists, just watching AMC's The Walking Dead isn't enough. Reading the comics isn't enough. Watching the webisodes definitely isn't enough. And, for those of you living in NYC, planning your own zombie survival plan is fun, but still, not enough. What would be enough, though? Short of actually living in a real life zombie apocalypse, participating in a fake one that poses no actual threat but is still really fun! That's why this exists: " The Walking Dead Escape," a simulated zombie apocalypse obstacle course that debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con back in 2012. Luckily for those of us who didn't get to go to Comic-Con that year, the event did so well that, according to EW, it's now going on tour.
"The Walking Dead Escape is something that’s been an absolute massive hit for us," series creator Robert Kirkman told EW. "It’s a fun way to spend the afternoon, especially if you’re a big Walking Dead fan. It’s an experience unlike anywhere else. You can live the kind of things you see in the comics and show and go to a place and get chased by zombies. Or go to a place and watch your friends get chased by zombies. And nobody gets eaten, which is the best of both worlds!" Hopefully, anyway.
