These Lindsay Lohan '00s Outfits Are Unbelievable
Whatever you may feel about her now, Lindsay Lohan was once an It girl, and that meant you wanted to steal and copy her clothes, hair, and makeup. That was totally cool at the time and all, but given that it's been over a decade since she was your go-to for all things style, there are plenty of outdated Lindsay Lohan outfits that will probably make you hang your head in shame when you realize you once totally wore that on your first day of high school. It's OK, we've all got some skeletons in our fashion closets.
Lohan's style was so cool at the time because she had way more edge than her contemporaries, like the more girl-next-door Hilary Duff. The actor wasn't afraid to break some rules, step outside her comfort zone, and wear things that totally pushed boundaries. I mean, why would you want to wear a dainty chain around your neck, when you could wear a thick, metal choker? Exactly. Her ensembles also kind of made parents uncomfortable, which was exactly what you were looking for when you were transitioning from pre-teen to full fledged teenager. And though she was pretty on-trend for her time, things have definitely changed a whole lot since the '00s, so these ground-breaking styles definitely would not fly today.
Check out these nine outdated Lindsay Lohan outfits and try to believe me when I say they were once so, so cool.
1. Knee Socks + Skirt
These are knee socks that are also toeless. I mean, what the what?! Also, pairing them with a denim skirt would just never work today.
2. Choker + Army Pants
I know chokers are having somewhat of a comeback right now, but this one is a little gaudy. Camo is still cool, but maybe better for a jacket than tight pants.
3. Juicy Tracksuit
This one speaks for itself. Also, we've gotten a little bit more chic with our scarf game since 2002.
4. Flared Jeans + Scarf
I never actually got the whole wearing winter accessories with a tee-shirt thing, but I'm glad that phase is good and gone.
5. Cropped Vest Over Shirt
"Because that vest was disgusting!"
6. Trucker Hat
I much prefer the dad hats of 2016.
7. Pointed Boots + Cropped Jacket + Cropped, Cuffed Capris + Chain
None of these would really even work individually today, so all together it would be a hot mess.
8. Fur + Scarf Belt + Baggy, Low-Slung Capris
Remember when fur collars were totally a thing?
9. Parachute Pants + Halter Top
Maybe these pants would be OK today with an oversized, chunky knit sweater, but paired with a slinky black halter, it's just 50 shades of wrong.
