And just like that, another competitor for Jane's heart has been thrown into the mix. Here it is we've all been so focused on figuring out whether Jane is Team Rafael or Team Michael, we forgot to factor in the possibility that Jane could end up with someone completely new, let alone her college advisor. And yet that seems to be precisely what's happening. I mean, we knew that Jane had a crush on Professor Adam Chavez, but now that he's officially asked her out, this could become a lot more serious than any of us ever imagined. In fact, I wouldn't even rule out the possibility that Jane and Adam will eventually hook up on Jane the Virgin .
I mean, there's no denying that these two have definite chemistry together. He was even the source of erotic inspiration for her latest piece of writing. So it's not completely out the question to think that Jane will tempted to turn those words into actions. Granted, I don't know if the writers would go so far as to have them have sex so soon into the relationship. (After all, this show is called Jane the Virgin.) But she's bound to take that next step eventually and Adam could end up being the one she wants to share the experience with, not just because she finds him really attractive, but also due to the fact that they have so much in common.
Not only do they share a passion for writing, but he's also made it more than clear how much he loves kids. Then there's the fact of how much mutual respect they have for each other on both a personal and professional level. I'm not saying that they're going to be the show's OTP or anything. (I'm still holding out for Team Michael, personally.) But this is definitely going to be more than just some temporary crush and we should all be prepared to see where this could lead.
