If there's one thing that's come out of Netflix's release of true crime docuseries Making a Murderer, it's public adoration for Steven Avery's defense lawyers Jerome Buting and Dean Strang. Though the docuseries showed they ultimately lost their case and Avery was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Teresa Halbach (of which Avery still claims he is innocent), many viewers of the series were simply impressed with Strang and Buting's dedication to their client and to justice. I mean, some of the things that come out of their mouths make them sound like modern-day Atticus Finches.
