Blue Ivy's Super Bowl Jacket Game Is So Bold

by Amy Sciarretto

When your famous and flawless mother is performing at the big game again, your fashion game better be strong. Blue Ivy's Super Bowl 50 jacket is everything and proves that Beyonce's daughter most definitely inherited that fashion trendsetter and influencer DNA. While Bey's baby girl usually favors cute and comfortable over luxe labels, Blue's style appears to be taking a new turn. Her jacket game is super strong and it actually sends a message, however unintentional, accidental, or indirect.

Beyonce's BFF Gwyneth Paltrow posted a from-the-back photo of her lookalike daughter Apple holding hands with lil' Blue. Both were wearing colorful and stylish jackets and no, they were not Broncos or Panthers coats, either. Apple rocked a black, blue, and white print jacket with shorts and black shoes, while Blue slayed a rainbow print jacket, with red and blue lighting bolts and pink bursts on a black background. It matched her black skirt and pink sneakers.

Blue's multi-colored jacket is totally appropriate for the Super Bowl and it's probably totally an accident. The Super Bowl is usually one of the most-watched programs on TV during the entire year and it's a cultural event enjoyed by most Americans. Blue's jacket harmoniously boasts all the colors of the rainbow. That's also something America is always striving for — to accept all people for their beliefs and looks.

That jacket is something else, isn't it? While Apple is 11 and Blue is 4, they could totally be style besties. They're already showing us how it's done when it comes to warm climate jackets. This snap could be the beginning of a beautiful and multi-generational fashion friendship.

Don't you love when fashion brings people together in multiple ways? Yep, I got all that from a simple photo of two famous little ladies!

For the most part, though, I love that Blue isn't afraid to rock something bold and colorful. This jacket also reminds us that she is still a 4 year old who can be playful and real with her clothes.
