Jaden Smith’s Style Has Come A Long Way
So, there's no denying that the Smith family has some seriously "one of a kind" style. Both Willow and Jaden Smith are known their out-there looks. Let's just say they are definitely not afraid to take a fashion risk or two. Despite what you might think about their wardrobe choices, its obvious that they have taken individual style to the next level. The only question is — how long have they been creating the trends rather than following them? Let's take a walk down memory lane and check out Jaden Smith's style evolution.
Aside from having some serious sick outfits, Smith is known for breaking down gender stereotypes with his fashion. Just last year he threw gender norms to the wayside and rocked a dress to Coachella as well as sported a shift dress to prom with Amandla Stenberg. More recently he starred in Louis Vuitton's womenswear campaign and graced the pages of Vogue Korea in a black skirt. I think the best part about Smith's look is how he embraces traditionally feminine clothing and completely rocks it. The real question is, how did he develop such awesome style? Take a look below and see Smith's fashion evolution.
1. Striped Polo
Smith went super casual in a striped polo layered over a long sleeve white t-shirt.
2. Suited Up
Even at a super young age, Smith knew how to clean up for the red carpet.
3. Popped Collar
I'm loving the cool attitude Smith gave off at the MTV Movie awards with his dad Will Smith.
4. Green Jacket
Smith posed in a army green jacket and t-shirt with his sister Willow.
5. Shades Out
I'm seriously loving this white jacket and grey pinstriped pant combo on the red carpet.
6. Velour Tracksuit
Smith posed in a black velour track jacket paired with a black and white scarf and white snapback.
7. Matching Outfit
Smith went for a black and red theme for this outfit with matching shoes and layered long sleeve shirt.
8. Brown Velvet
Smith topped off a mostly brown jacket with an embroidered velvet jacket.
9. Shrunken White Vest
He paired an undone pink shirt and tie with jeans and a shrunken white vest.
10. Layered Look
Smith went for some serious layers in this look, pairing a t-shirt, hoodie and white leather vest.
11. Rainbow Leather
The actor was seriously feeling the studs and multi-colored leather. This is one of his first truly risky outfits and i'm loving it.
12. Spiked Out
Smith got a bit more edgy with this grey bomber jacket covered in metal spikes.
13. Rainbow Vest
Smith brought back the multi-colored leather in this black vest covered in studs.
14. Tiger Print
He opted for the statement look by donning a pair of tiger print pants
15. Cheetah Print
Apparently Smith was really feeling the animal print at this point in time, this time choosing a cheetah printed biker jacket.
16. Grey Spikes
Spiked biker jackets are an on-going theme.
17. Zebra Print
Smith wore a pair of zebra print pants. I guess animal trousers were big in his life back then.
18. Leather Pants
This look was a bit more toned down, with a black blazer and black leather pants. He kept the animal print theme alive with his purple Vans.
19. Black Layers
Smith went for the super layered look in an all-black ensemble. I'm especially feeling the bandana tied to his right leg.
20. Leather Tunic
He killed it in all leather here!
21. Shorts
Smith went super daring with this look, wearing a pair of black shorts and some mismatching sneakers. Maybe he was just late running out of the house?
22. Mixing Prints
Mixed prints are one of his signatures. Here Smith rocked an alphabet printed hoodie over a geometric multi-colored tunic paired with some black shorts.
23. Monochrome
Move over Kylie Jenner, it looks like a new monochrome-loving fashion icon is in town.
24. Rainbow Bucket Hat
Smith opted for a toned down grey sweatshirt, but he spiced up the look with a multi-colored bucket hat.
25. USA
Mixed prints, leather, Nikes, a cool hat, a tunic style top — this has all Smith's signatures rolled into one!
