Beyoncé's Super Bowl 50 Bodysuit Was A Tribute
The most entertaining halftime of the year never disappoints, and 2016 was no different. Proving yet again that she's #flawless, Beyoncé's Super Bowl 50 outfit was tribute to Michael Jackson. She might not have been listed as the lead performer, but it's safe to say that her military-esque high fashion stole the show and hearts around the world.
It's been awhile since Queen Bey graced us with her bodysuits and wavy hair flips on live TV, so it was refreshing to see her on stage again doing her thing. Don't get me wrong, Coldplay and Bruno Mars were entertaining, but no one does it quite like Beyoncé. With her new song and music video out, I knew that this would be one of Beyonce's most fashion-forward performances yet, but I didn't think that someone would have already worn her look.
She stepped out wearing an all-black bodysuit with gold chains that was almost identical to Michael Jackson's halftime performance look back in 1993. This year's halftime theme was past, present, and future, so it only made sense that they'd have subtle sartorial nods hidden in there somewhere.
She stomped it out in the tribute bodysuit and her natural curls were icing on top of the sartorial cake. There's nothing I love more than a classic Beyonce outfit with a twist, and this year definitely did not disappoint. If only we could get her to perform at the Super Bowl every year.
She completed the look with fishnets and sporty black heels, which gave the perfect Queen Bey twist to a classic look. Just look at how she made Jackson's classic look more modern.
