Just in case you thought Kim Kardashian's Kimoji app couldn't get any better, the reality star went ahead and added a new update. She shared the news on Twitter on Thursday, encouraging her fans to go ahead and check it out. Sure, the app itself costs $1.99, but it's totally worth the splurge when you find out what's inside. Kardashian tweeted,
KIMOJI has been completely redesigned & is now available on iOS & Android! There's also brand new KIMOGIF animations
Somehow she managed to leave out the best part. Believe it or not, the new Kimojis are pretty empowering. Yes, you read that correctly! Included in the new update are a tampon and birth control pills — two things that tend to be way too stigmatized. Women's sexual health is something people may blush at (even though it's 2016), but Kim K doesn't shy away from including these essentials in her app. The previous version of the app already had a condom, but props to Kardashian for adding in birth control pills too. Female contraception is equally important. As for the tampon, periods shouldn't be a taboo topic either.
Of course, I'll admit that the app isn't 100-percent perfect. There's a speech bubble that says "Turbo THOT," which, frankly, is pretty demeaning. Plus, there's a GIF of that Keeping Up With The Kardashians scene where she hits Khloé with a purse and calls her "so f*cking rude." Neither of those are acceptable ways to interact with another human being.
Still, in this case, the pros outweigh the cons. There's even a churros Kimoji (Chrissy Teigen will be pleased) and beignets, because everybody knows those are Kardashian's favorite New Orleans dessert.
