Olivia, Olivia, Olivia. I want to love you, and I want to defend you, but you keep doing these stupid things on The Bachelor that make it so hard for me to do either. Olivia’s been pegged as the crazy one on this season of The Bachelor, and I really do think that this is a stressful experience and she’s just sort of cracking underneath it all. I don't think it's fair to call her crazy, but, unfortunately, her comments to Amanda on tonight’s episode show that maybe she’s not that nicest person after all. Amanda, who has two daughters, ages 1 and 3, was talking with the rest of the group about her struggles with custody with her ex-husband, and Olivia said that she felt like Amanda was a “ Teen Mom situation.” Um, what?
Firstly, as Amanda defended herself, she was 22 when she had her first child and 24 when she had her second. Secondly, Amanda is talking to the other women in the house about who watches her kids while she’s gone and that’s what Olivia comes up with? I mean, come on. If you don’t have anything to say, say absolutely nothing, OK? Olivia seems to have gone out of her way to be snotty to the rest of the ladies in the house, and it’s not winning her any friends. She did try to backtrack out of the conversation with some tears, but it was too little too late. I understand that in a high-pressure situation sometimes unfortunate comments can slip out, but for Olivia to degrade one of the nicest contestants on the show was harsh.
And, while the rest of the women in the house are unhappy with Olivia, it seems like Ben may soon be tired of her, too. He’s getting all of Olivia’s true personality in dribs and drabs from the rest of the contestants. Will Ben confront Olivia for her behavior? I’m not sure about that, but one thing I can tell you is that Olivia is in for a lonely road if she keeps on this path of obnoxious comments and a really bad attitude.
