'LW: Atlanta' Star Monie Is Bringing The Drama
The Little Women reality TV franchise has expanded to another city — and, this time, providing something of a switch from the other two franchises of the show, not all of the Little Women: Atlanta cast is in the entertainment industry. For example, cast member Tiffany "Monie" Cashette is almost nothing like the women from LA or NY. She is also proudly a Southerner (even though she hails from Houston originally, not Atlanta). And, even though there are some other members of the cast who are getting a lot of the pre-premiere attention — like twins Andrea and Amanda — I am particularly intrigued by Cashette for a few reasons.
First of all, in the season trailer, she can be spotted throwing her drink at someone. That is the move of someone who wants to become a reality star. And, it's as reliable as a strong right hook would be for an up-and-coming boxer. Sure, it's not fancy — but it gets the job done. And, even though, like the other Little Women franchises, this one features a group of ladies who also seem to be close friends offscreen, Atlanta might have some of the best drama as seen in any Little Women show yet. That's all thanks to the potentially villainous, potentially totally lovable Tiffany "Monie" Cashette. Here's what you need to know about her.
She Has A Lot Of Friends... At The Start Of The Season
Whether they met during the filming of the show or go way back, Cashette seems like she has some passionate feelings about the cast. Judging from the trailer, it looks like Cashette was at one point close with Minnie, but their falling out will be a major part of the season.
She'll Be Looking For Work
According to her Lifetime bio, when the season filmed, Cashette was hoping to get a jump on her career, since she was currently unemployed. Looking for a new start in life is something that's particularly relatable post-economic downturn.
She Has An Unconventional Nickname
Even though her first name is Tiffany, she goes by Monie. With "Monie Cashette" as her name... clearly financial success is important to her.
She's Taller Than Most Of The Cast
While Cashette still considers herself a little person, she's also a fair amount taller than the rest of the cast. Whether she will still feel at home with the women or if she'll feel more like an outsider because of her height difference remains to be seen.
She Is Really Into Hair
I love the half-shaved look that she has in the season trailer, and Cashette will be working with Minnie in her hair salon according to But In Reality. Additionally, it shouldn't be hard for Cashette to capitalize on the show's popularity to get herself plenty of work in the hairstyling business. Just don't stiff her on the tip, because you do not want a margarita thrown on your head right after you get your hair done.
The OGs Think She's Pretty Special
OK, so Tonya and Terra might not be the most complimentary when talking about Cashette's onscreen performance, but it certainly sounds like you won't be able to take your eyes off of her throughout the entire season. I can't wait to see Cashette make her big debut!
