Listen to Lea Michele's New Song

If there's one thing this Glee songstress can do, it's command a room. Lea Michele's new song, "What Is Love?" does just that, giving fans a slightly more upbeat ballad than her last track, "Battlefield." "What Is Love?" is the third song to be released off of her upcoming album, Louder , set to drop on Feb. 28, and was written by songwriter Jaden Michaels. It follows "Cannonball," about letting go of fear, and "Battlefield," about a break in her relationship with her late ex-boyfriend, Cory Monteith, and knowing when to say goodbye.

Now, "What Is Love?", which was released on Monday, explores the question of what love is when the relationship you're in seems like a lie, set to a beautiful piano melody. This could be based upon Michele and Monteith's breakup, since she's said before that every song on this album is extremely personal, and said on Twitter that she was "so proud" of this song.

The ballad also speaks to what happens in a relationship when two people grow apart and don't know each other anymore. Whatever the case, her vocals absolutely shine and remind me that when (not if) Michele stars on Broadway again, I will happily pay for a front-row seat.
