Looks like Jane Doe has taken flight, y'all. Maxwell Lord may be lying low, but Bizarro arrived on Supergirl at the end of Monday night's episode. While Kara was switching ice cream with Alex and bemoaning the fact that not one, not two, but three different boys like her (I'm not bitter), a Supergirl lookalike appeared on the news.
While we're used to Martians impersonating others in this universe, this "new Kara" is a whole other thing. Meet Bizarro-Girl, a DC comics character. In the comics, there is also a Bizarro version of Clark Kent/Superman as well. How do I know this is Bizarro for sure, and not a clone or another Martian or something? Because next Monday's episode of the CBS series is titled "Bizarro," to be honest. According to the official CBS press description, "Kara faces off against her mirror image when Bizarro, a twisted version of Supergirl, sets out to destroy her." The promo for the episode showed Maxwell Lord raising her like Dr. Frankenstein, complete with an evocative "she's alive" and a hilarious, hilarious moment in which Bizarro called Maxwell "my Lord." I get it. Still creepy.
Why has Maxwell Lord put the time and resources into creating this creature? Does he want to kill and replace her? Does Bizarro know how to order lattes and answer phones? Because I'm pretty sure he should have thought about that first. He may be a genius, but if we've learned anything it's that being Kara Danvers is not easy on Supergirl.
