Mariah Carey Is Engaged!

Mimi is set to walk down the aisle again! According to E! News, Mariah Carey is engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer. The outlet reports that Carey's new rock clocks in a staggering 35 carats, and a wedding date has reportedly not been decided.

(Update: Carey's rep confirmed the news to Bustle that "the happy couple is engaged." Congrats!)

The pair first met in Aspen at a 2014 premiere for Hercules and started dating shortly after. "We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So we hit it off," Carey said in a November interview with Steve Harvey.

Packer is an Australian businessman, the son of deceased media mogul Kerry Packer, and most of his business lies in casinos in Melbourne, Perth, Manila, and Macau. Forbes estimates Packer's wealth at $4.7 billion, and he sits pretty as the fourth wealthiest Australian in the world. Packer was twice married before to fashion designer Jodhi Meares and singer/model Erica Baxter and is a father of three.

Carey and former husband Nick Cannon finalized their divorce last April and currently share parenting responsibilities of 4-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. Packer has been photographed with Carey and her two children, and the extended family unit couldn't look happier.
