'Hunger Games' Sam Claflin Is Officially A Dad

by Jamie Primeau

Happy news in Panem! And nope, this has nothing to do with Katniss Everdeen. Instead, The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin is officially a dad. The actor, who played Finnick O'Dair, welcomed his first child with wife Laura Haddock back in December, his rep confirmed to People. Fans may remember that Haddock first debuted her baby bump on the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 red carpet in November. Coming full circle with major red carpet moments, Haddock made her first post-baby appearance at the Critics Choice Awards last Sunday.

Although there aren't any updates about the baby's sex or name, it's only a matter of time before those details are released. Regardless, this is such thrilling news for the first-time parents! The British pair tied the knot in July 2013. While Claflin is known for The Hunger Games series, Haddock is also an actor, who starred in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The First Avenger.

Fingers crossed that they decide to make Jennifer Lawrence the baby's godmother! Could you imagine a more hip, fun person to grow up around? Or maybe the godfather will be Josh Hutcherson or Liam Hemsworth. Deciding who would get that honor would be like the Team Peeta vs. Team Gale battle on a whole new level.

All joking aside, congrats to the happy couple! This news is beyond exciting.
