Good news: It looks like Gal Gadot will be our Wonder Woman for a long while. According to Variety, Gal Gadot has signed a three-picture deal with Warner Bros. for her role as Wonder Woman, which confirms that she will appear in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman vs. Superman, a to-be-titled Justice League movie, and a to-be-titled Wonder Woman standalone movie. In other words: FINALLY, Wonder Woman is getting her own movie! This is a good day.
Gadot initially broke the news herself in an interview with Israeli entertainment show Good Evening With Gai Pines, confirming that she'll be appearing in three films as the legendary superhero character. She also revealed her pretty nice salary: Apparently, she'll be earning $300,000 for one movie.
As Variety points out, it makes sense that the deal was limited to three movies so far, because Warner Bros "still doesn’t know how auds will react to Wonder Woman in the untitled Batman-Superman movie."
No word yet on when exactly we should expect the other two films — most importantly, the standalone film — in theaters, but Batman vs. Superman has already been confirmed to hit theaters on May 6, 2016. Long while to wait, but hey, hopefully worth it.
