Kylie's 2016 Makeup Resolution Is Unexpected

Given that her Lip Kits are the hottest item out there right now and her makeup is serious goals, when you hear Kylie Jenner's New Year's resolution, you're probably going to wonder if you actually heard it correctly. But oh, you did. According to a video on her website, the 18-year-old wants to wear less makeup in 2016. And given how influential she is when it comes to beauty, this is a resolution that might be shared and copied by many.

From her highly buzzed about lips, to her statement eye makeup, and her ever-changing hair color, there's nothing beauty related about Kylie that we don't want to learn how to copy/steal/replicate immediately, but her latest beauty phase will probably be a lot easier to achieve yourself at home. Jenner revealed her New Year's resolutions on her website, and they include hanging out with her friends more, not being on her phone as much, spending more time at home, and toning down her makeup. Well, that one was totally out of left field.

In her video, Kylie got real, saying, "I kind of want to tone it down. I feel like 2016, everyone's on the natural wave, at least me and my friends. I just want to take my nails off, no hair, no makeup. It's too much to maintain, sometimes. It's hard being a girl." Truth. Now this is a trend I hope seriously takes off.

If you're thinking there's no way she can stick to that, allow me to prove otherwise. She loves to change it up and shock her fans (the proof is in how often she changes her hair color), and it's not like Kylie has never rocked a natural look before. Just this week, she Instagrammed a selfie sans makeup, wearing glasses:

So I mean, that's about as natural as it gets. And last week, she rocked a more toned down makeup look.

Even though she has makeup on, it's definitely not as bold as usual.

As much as I love her dramatic makeup, she's so gorgeous, she doesn't need any at all. But the biggest proof that she's going to stick her resolution is in her February cover of ELLE UK.

If she can go natural on a cover, she can definitely do it in her everyday life.
