Taylor Swift's "Red" Video Proves She's Not Trying

Perhaps she was too busy seeing red over John Mayer's "Paper Doll," which is supposedly about their brief relationship. Or perhaps she wants to prove once and for all that she can sing live.

But Taylor Swift's new music video for "Red," the titular single off of her album, Red, is not quite as colorful as her previous videos. In fact, it doesn't seem to try hard at all. Instead, "Red" just features Swift singing her single on stage in front of her adoring fans. Watch it below:

Granted, Swift would get millions of hits for a video of the star reading Dostoyevsky. But you couldn't even spare one unicorn from "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," Taylor?
