9 Times '90s Supermodels Out-'90ed Themselves
Like Greek goddesses or Old Hollywood movie stars, there's something about '90s supermodels that makes them so iconic and beloved by generation after generation. These women who ruled the runways of New York, Paris, and Milan for the better part of a decade are still admired today for their beauty, confidence, and in a lot of ways, their unique bond. Mention the names — even just the first names — like Cindy, Linda, Naomi, and Kate, and the images that come to mind are fierce fashion poses on the catwalk, regardless of what they were wearing.
Supermodels of the '90s influenced so many of today's runway divas, whether they're the new crop of "Insta girls" like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, or the more seasoned and internationally renowned models like Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio. But even among the biggest names in the modeling world today, the batch of '90s models are completely in a league of their own. So much so that they are still obsessed over while continuing to dominate the industry, from Tyra Banks' media empire, to the holy trinity of Crawford, Campbell, and Claudia Schiffer reuniting for the Balmain Spring 2016 ad campaign.
As the muses to designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Todd Oldham, and the late Gianni Versace, the following supermodels represented '90s fashion, both on and off the runway. Here are nine of the most memorable looks from these iconic beauties.
Linda Evangelista
Linda In Living Color.
Naomi Campbell
The Fierce One served flower child meets goth on the Chanel catwalk.
Cindy Crawford
The iconic supermodel wearing a bondage inspired look from the iconic house of Versace.
Kate Moss

Christy Turlington
Turlington's model-off duty look — although it was a fashion shoot for Michael Kors — is a nod to menswear and also so '90s it hurts.
Claudia Schiffer
This is so Courtney Love circa Live Through This, which was revived for Love's Nasty Gal collaboration this year.
Tyra Banks
A young Banks smized down the runway in this '90s power suit.
Stephanie Seymour

Cindy Crawford (Again)
Could there be anything more '90s glam than Crawford in Herve Leger? The House of Style host and this mermaid gown was a match made in fashion heaven.
