These 'PLL' Suspects Could Be Uber A

by Kelly Schremph

See, here's the thing about villains — when one goes away, it's not long until a new one pops up to take its place. And that's precisely something that Rosewood is about to experience when Pretty Little Liars returns for Season 6B. Because while we may now know the identity of A, our newest PLL villain "B," (or Uber A, if you prefer) remains at large and is ready to wreak havoc on our beloved Liars. But in a town full of suspicious characters, how do we narrow down who this new Big Bad could or could not be? My instincts tell me that our best bet is to look at all the Pretty Little Liars Season 6B clues that have been revealed thus far and see who comes out looking super shady in the process.

Granted, this system is by no means fool proof. (This series loves nothing more than to throw us multiple red herrings.) However, I'm confident this detective work could bring us, at the very least, one step closer to Uber A and whatever diabolical plan he's concocted over these past five years. So let's just sit back, relax, and try to narrow the suspect list down as best we can, shall we?

1. Noel Kahn

If our suspicions are right and Jenna is really the one in the casket, then you have to wonder who would potentially be upset over her death? It's as if Jenna was exactly beloved by all. She did, however, used to date Noel. Perhaps their relationship was stronger than we ever knew and Noel somehow associates the Liars with whatever happened to her. Noel may not have been A, but that doesn't mean he isn't completely capable of torture and torment.

2. Ezra Fitz

As the promos have clearly indicated, Ezra is not doing so great after the five-year time jump. In fact, during the Pretty Little Liars special "5 Years Forward," Ian Harding revealed that Ezra's happiness in Thailand with Nicole was taken away "very suddenly and very violently" after something tragic happened. It even made him turn to alcohol for comfort. And given that creator I. Marlene King recently told MTV News that the new Big Bad's actions "has something to do with a dead body." King explained: "This Big Bad has an agenda, and it’s to find out why this person passes away — and to seek revenge on the person responsible." Kinda makes Ezra's tragedy sound more than a little suspicious, doesn't it? And as they say, if the shoe Fitz...

3. Lucas Gottesman

Entertainment Weekly discovered at the 2015 PaleyFest that Lucas will be returning to PLL this season. A little too convenient, considering that's exactly when this new Big Bad shows up. Don't let that innocent face fool you. This guy could end up being capable of so much more.

4. Wren Kingston

Actor Julian Morris, who plays Wren, admitted to MTV News back in September that he wants to come back to the series to wrap up his character's storyline. "I’ve promised Marlene [King] that I will return at some point in the season to resolve my character — for myself and also for the fans," the actor stated. "So as long as she’s still up for that, I will come back in some capacity." What if that capacity just so happens to be as Rosewood's next villain? And, I mean, after all the seasons of speculating Wren's behavior, if he's not going to be A, then he should definitely be Uber A.

5. Andrew Campbell

Did anyone else find it kind of odd that Andrew's role on the show just kind of ended without warning? We witnessed him spying on the Liars firsthand and yet nothing ever became of it. That is not normal behavior and may have been serving as more than just a red herring. Perhaps this was King's way of hinting who the next Big Bad was. He is super tech savvy after all and has made his hatred of the Liars pretty clear. Maybe he's now decided to take his anger to a whole other level.

6. Dr. Elliot Rollins

What if this "B" character isn't a person we've known for a while? What if it's someone completely new? And let's face it, Ali kind of has a knack for surrounding herself with untrustworthy characters, so considering that she's once again the target to this Big Bad's wrath, I'd say having it be her husband isn't a total stretch. The great (and sometimes frustrating) thing about this series is that anything is possible.
