The day we’ve all been waiting for is almost here. Soon, Bravo viewers will finally get to see Tom Schwartz propose to Katie Maloney on Vanderpump Rules . Now, Katie’s had the patience of a saint. Last year, she gave Schwartz a six-month period of time in which she would expect to get engaged, after which she was going to kick him to the curb. In Season 4, we've seen Schwartz and Katie now about nine or 10 months in after that ultimatum, and he’s finally popping the question. But considering that all of this was filmed months ago, you have to wonder, are Schwartz and Katie still together?
Of course they are! After waiting all of that time for Schwartz to propose, did you really think Katie would suddenly change her mind? Absolutely not. Despite all of the crazy relationship drama that goes on at SUR, Katie and Schwartz are the steadiest couple of the bunch. Schwartz even got a tattoo to commemorate his dedication to his lady — it’s on his butt and it says “bubba.” So while everyone else is breaking up, shacking up, making up, or getting clawed (I’m looking at you, James), Schwartz and Katie are solid. Back in November, Katie told People that the lovely couple had not yet set a wedding date, but I’m sure they just want to enjoy their engagement for a little bit before planning a giant event — one that I certainly hope is part of the show like Scheana’s wedding was. Since it seems that they’re not wedding planning just yet, here's what Schwartz and Katie have been up to lately.
Partying In Vegas
What better way to spend the holidays than at the craps table? Sure, you could spend time with family as they battle over politics and the wishbone of the turkey, but I, like Schwartz and Katie, think that Las Vegas is a much better bet.
Getting Animated
I know this image from Schwartz’s Instagram is the result of an app, but I love it. I think it’s because it reminds me of the music video for “Take On Me” by a-Ha. Obviously, Schwartz liked it enough to post from it, too.
Celebrating The New Year
The dawn of a new year is the perfect time to look back and reflect on all of the great things that happened in the past 365 days. Katie did just that, paying homage to her “bubiance” (cute) and all of the great things that are in store for them in 2016.
Cuddling With Their Pup
Schwartz may have bought their dog, Gordo, as a surprise for Katie, but they both definitely love their little pup. There are plenty of pics of them squeezing and loving up that little ball of fur. Lately, it’s been no different — here are Schwartz and Gordo taking a snooze. I have to say, Gordo would make a great ring bearer.
So there you have it, Katie and Schwartz are most definitely still together and happy. Hopefully, Vanderpump Rules will show their wedding day when it arrives so fans can be just as happy.
