Will Adidas Restock Yeezy Boost 350s?

by Amy Sciarretto

It's been an emotional roller coaster of a week for sneaker lovers, specifically for fans of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s. The shoes were offered online for just two hours before selling out and at PacSun via raffle. The question is this. Will Yeezy Boost 350s be restocked now that they are once again unavailable and sold out? Well, the answer is somewhat nebulous.

While the brand thanked customers for their interest in Yeezy Boost 350s, it let shoppers down gently with the soul and closet-crushing news of the sneaker sellout via a note posted online, which you can view below. The background and font where the same tan color as the shoes themselves. That's not an accident.

Adidas suggested fans check with local retailers for availability, although that doesn't feel like any sort of real solution, as the black 350s are sold out at PacSun. Adidas also encouraged fans to sign up for updates about future Kanye West and Adidas collabos.

So, no, it doesn't explicitly state when the Boost 350s will be stocked. But then again, Adidas doesn't need to lay its cards face up on the table and tell anyone when or if it plans to make the shoes available again.

That way, Adidas can continue to control the frenzy and the hype.

The sneakers have already earned cult status and fan interest isn't likely to wane. In fact, since the shoes are so hard to obtain, it only increases they desirability. It's fashion Darwinism — you want what you can't have and love the thrill of the chase. So the brand can restock at its leisure. The demand is there; it's up to Adidas when it wants to supply.

Also, notice that Adidas mentions future collaborations with West. Is there a Yeezy Boost 950 in the works? A 550? A new colorway for the 350s? Anything is possible. So it's a good idea to sign up so that you can get information.

Knowledge is power in all aspects of life, including coveted fashion collabos!
