When it comes to Harry Potter, you probably have a favorite character and you definitely have a favorite book in the series, but your it's your favorite Hogwarts house that says a lot about you. Your love for one house over all the rest reveals not only what kind of Harry Potter-lover you are, but what kind a person you are. Come on, you know it's true. There's nothing that Harry Potter can't explain.

While there's a scientific way to determine what your favorite Hogwarts house says about you, true Harry Potter fans already know the basics. When someone tells you they're a Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Gryffindor, you have a pretty good idea of the kind of person they are — the good, the bad, and all the in between. You know who will make a good coworker and who will make a good friend. You know who will be there when times get tough, and who will have your back when everyone else turns against you. You'll know who you will get a long with, who you would be compatible with, and who you should steer clear of. Basically, you'll know everything you need to know about a person, as soon as they tell you which house is theirs.

If You're a Hufflepuff...

Like famous fellow Hufflepuffs Tonks and Cedric Diggory, you are a hard-working witch who isn't afraid of getting your hands dirty. Even though you're strong and tough, you're still a sweetheart underneath it all. You're the kind of coworker who brings snacks to long meetings and the kind of friend who shares your Netflix login. You don't like gossip, whether it's about people you know or celebrities, and you don't like phonies. You're honest and true, and you always stick up for what's right. And you're pretty great, because you're J. K. Rowling's favorite Hogwarts house. Congrats!

If You're a Ravenclaw...

Ravenclaws like yourself walk to the beat of their own drummer. You're committed, clever, and creative, and because of that, you don't shy away from leadership roles. You enjoy reading and science, and you probably have a Neil deGrasse Tyson poster in your room. When it comes to love, you prefer older men. Harry Potter and the gang are Gryffindors, so you already know how noble, selfless, and brave members of this house are. If you're a Gryffindor, you are a true and loyal friend who is always there in a pinch. You're a team player in school, work, and on the field. You probably enjoy sports, and you kick ass in beer pong. When it comes to board games, you can be a little competitive, but you're a genuinely nice person who means no harm. You love your friends and family, and you'd do anything for them, and because of that, they'd do anything for you, too.
