11 Chanel Couture Sneakers That We'll See In Our Dreams
Karl Lagerfeld did it again. He left everyone breathless at the Spring/Summer 2014 Chanel Couture show at the Grand Palais in Paris. But this time, it wasn't just about his insanely gorgeous couture pieces, it was all about the shoes. All of the shoes. In place of the expected mile-high stilettos and chunky stacked platforms on the feet of his models were shimmery, sequined, and, most importantly, flat sneakers instead. Of course, they weren't just any 'ol pair of running shoes. Couture shoemaker Massaro was the genius behind the embroidered and chiffon-wrapped Chanel sneakers. Here are 11 of his fabulous creations straight from the Chanel Couture runway.
LAVENDER HUE
These lavender-colored sneakers matched the model’s entire ensemble, not just in color, but in pattern, too.
COTTON CANDY PINK
Summer’s hottest trend: wearing sneakers that match perfectly with the rest of your outfit.
SOFT GOLD
We love the soft, metallic panels that highlight this pair of white sneakers.
BLACK AND GRAY
Black sneakers by themselves are edgy and punkish. But they can take an entirely new look when paired with a long, flowy dress.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER
The colors of this model’s feathery dress set the palette for her blue-hued shoes.
TEAL AND TURQUOISE
These sneakers pop off the runway, thanks to their bright turquoise laces.
PINKS AND PURPLES
Every shade of pink and purple can be found on this model’s pair of shoes.
STREAKS OF FUCHSIA
Massaro highlights the fuchsia in the model’s outfit with the base of her shoe.
BLACK AND PINK
Colorblocking reaches a whole new level when Massaro brings the trend to sneakers.
SOFT BEIGE
Cara Delevigne wears an ethereal, sheer wedding gown, paired with silver studded sneakers.
