Step aside Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, because it looks like Miranda Lambert and Anderson East are dating. According to Us Weekly, Lambert has been seeing the Americana/R&B musician (real name: Michael Cameron Anderson) for about one month. Per a source close to Lambert, "They are really enjoying each other’s company" and the two are reportedly ringing in 2016 together. Another insider who is a friend of East said, "She couldn’t have picked a better dude to have fun with. Anderson is the coolest guy."
It's no secret that after divorcing Lambert in July, Shelton moved on with his fellow Voice coach, Stefani. However, Lambert didn't appear to be dating anyone, until now. As she told Cosmopolitan in January, "I just want to live a life full of everything," which definitely appears to be the case right now. If she and East are hanging out, good for her. She deserves happiness after what I can only imagine what was a lot of heartbreak splitting from Shelton after four years of marriage.
That said, let's get to know East a bit better, because you never know if he'll become the next serious thing in the 32-year-old country superstar's life.
He's A Talented Musician
According to Us, the 27-year-old singer got his start in Nashville as a session musician and engineer. He's now found success with his album Delilah, and specifically the song "Satisfy Me," which you can listen to above. There's no doubt he possesses talent.
Music Has Always Been His Dream
As he told Cliché in November, music is something he's loved ever since he can remember. "I think, as a kid, I needed some type of outlet that wasn’t an organized sport or something of that nature," he said about what drew him to music. "I think when I got an electric guitar, that void was filled. I was so infatuated with how music made me feel at such a young age, and so appropriately, making music was the only thing that could heighten that feeling."
His Family Is His World
Last December, East shared an Instagram about his sister being cancer-free, which is obviously a wonderful thing. Based on his post, it's clear that his family means the world to him. He wrote, "Was given the greatest Christmas gift ever. 100% cancer free. So proud of my sister for her strength and humor through all of this. I'm beyond grateful to everyone for supporting her and for their thoughts and prayers. I have no words that can express my happiness."
He's A Fan Of No Doubt
Seeing as East is rumored to be dating Lambert, and Stefani and Shelton are an item, this piece of information might interest those invested in their personal lives. Before covering George Jackson's "Find 'Em, Fool 'Em and Forget 'Em," East almost did a No Doubt song. He told Cliché, "I had been messing with the No Doubt song 'Don’t Speak.' I have always loved that song. I think it’s a great modern American pop song that has legs to do something fun with."
Well, I think it's safe to say that Lambert and East can bond over their love and talent of music — you know, if they really are dating.
