After serving almost 12 months in prison, Teresa Guidice is officially back home with her family. Thanks to People, there are now photos of Teresa reuniting with her husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters. As expected, it was very emotional. You can check out all of the photos at People, but just take a look at the one below. There are smiles, tears, and even kisses being exchanged. Yep, that's exactly how the Real Housewives of New Jersey star would want it.
On Wednesday, Dec. 23, Teresa was released from prison, where she was spending a 15-month sentence for fraud. She received an early release, and will serve out the rest of her sentence under home confinement until February 2016. Joe is expected to begin serving his own 41-month prison sentence in March.
Now that Teresa is home, she and her family are clearly over the moon. No matter what you think of the reality stars, you can't help but be happy for the Giudices, especially when it comes to their children. They get to spend the holidays together, and should count themselves lucky for that, especially since so many loved ones aren't together during what is supposed to be a special time.
People reports that upon Teresa's arrival, there were "welcome home" signs waiting in addition to a "brand new, black Lexus SUV, which was waiting in the driveway with a big red bow when she pulled up," gifted to her by Joe. Some of you might be thinking, "How could he afford that when they declared bankruptcy and are serving jail time for fraud?" or "How did he buy a car without a license?" As these are all valid points. I have no answers, except that it's typical Joe and Teresa.
Anyway, Teresa has yet to publicly speak about her release, but her lawyer James Leonard Jr. quoted her as saying: "Merry Christmas. Happy New Year ... all of you should go be with your families and your loved ones." I think that's something all of us can agree on, right?
