As promised, on Wednesday, Dec. 23, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Guidice was released from prison after serving almost 12 months for fraud. Her lawyer James Leonard Jr. confirmed the news to People and said, "She is free." Even though she is home and will get to spend the holidays with her husband Joe Giudice and four daughters, Teresa will serve the rest of her 15-month sentence under home confinement until her sentence ends in early February 2016. That said, it is happy news for the Bravo star. So much so, that many Bravolebrities are sending Teresa heartwarming messages across social media.
Watch What Happens Live host and the man leading Housewives reunions, Andy Cohen, shared on Twitter, "Welcome home @Teresa_Giudice!" Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards posted quite the random tweet, but still, "This morning I'm thinking about how much I love @amyschumer & how happy I am about @Teresa_Giudice coming home for Christmas #RandomThoughts."
Even former Real Housewives of New York City star Alex McCord commented with a tweet about how much Teresa wants Starbucks upon her release. Oh, Alex McCord, only you. Real Housewives of Orange County's Tamra Judge shared on Facebook, "I can't believe its been a year already. So happy that she gets to spend the holidays with her family, has to the best Christmas gift ever her children."
Finally, Us Weekly spoke with RHONJ alum Amber Marchese, who said, "I am so happy for her. I really am. Mother and her babies united as they should be. It is a true Christmas blessing. I wish the Guidice family nothing but continued happiness, love, and blessings."
On Jan. 5, 2015, Teresa went to prison after she and her husband, Joe Giudice, pled guilty to multiple counts of fraud in March 2014. At the time of sentencing, Teresa was charged with four counts, whereas her husband was charged with five. As previously stated, Teresa received a 15-month sentence, while Joe was sentenced to 41 months in prison and fined $414,000 in restitution. Joe is said to begin his sentence in March.
Despite the bittersweet moment of Teresa's release and returning home, because Joe will soon head to prison himself, at least the Giudice's get to be together for the holidays. Obviously, her family is beyond happy. I mean, just look at this tweet from Teresa's oldest daughter, Gia Guidice.
