Kourtney & Bieber Go Way Back

Over the weekend, we were all treated to a really strange celebrity relationship rumor: According to Us Weekly, Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian are "hooking up" and reportedly, it has been happening for quite some time now. Bieber's love life and string of ladies is far too confusing for me as of late, and I thought Kourtney was just rumored to be getting back together with Scott Disick... but who knows! Anyway, in light of this bizarre news, I figured I would do some research and uncover how Kourtney Kardashian and Justin Bieber met in the first place.

The rumors of something going on between Kourtney and Bieber have been swirling since around October, when they were spotted having dinner at paparazzi hot spot, Mr. Nice Guy. The reality star was fresh off her break-up with Disick, and reports ran that she was rebounding with Bieber. But it certainly just seemed like the two were friends and enjoying a casual night out.

It seems Bieber's connection to the Kardashian-Jenner family began in 2010, when Bieber met Kim Kardashian at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The singer tweeted out a photo of the two with the caption, "Look its my girlfriend," and she replied that she officially had "Bieber Fever." A few months later, Kim and Bieber posed in their infamous "island escape" photo shoot for Elle, sending tweens everywhere into a tizzy. It was a bit weird back then, considering Bieber was only 16 and Kim was a 29-year-old woman frolicking with him on the beach...

I think it's safe to say that this was the beginning of the Bieber-Kardashian connection — which is still strong to this day — and that he and Kourtney probably met soon after.

The 21-year-old also has a close relationship with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and they all have posted many photos with each other on their respective social media accounts. Last year, rumors even circulated that Kendall and Bieber were the ones dating, but the model immediately dismissed the rumors on an episode of Nightline saying, "He's a longtime friend of our family... Everybody loves to assume things, but no."

Bieber's closeness with the Kardashian family, and specifically Kourtney, showed itself when the mom of three posted a photo of Bieber "babysitting" her son Mason earlier this year. It proved that the two definitely had a close relationship, considering that she'd let her young son spend time with Bieber. It also turns out that Bieber and Kourtney both live in The Oaks area of Calabasas, less than a mile apart, which could also contribute to their spending more time together.

In October of this year, Bieber and Kourtney enjoyed a night out at Halloween Horror Nights, and they honestly just looked like close friends to me. Whether or not the two really are dating or hooking up remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure: Bieber has a lot of connections to the Kardashian and Jenner ladies, and these two are at least friends — something that's surprising enough in itself.
