Summer 2015 Wasn't So Bad For These Celeb Couples

Summer love is notorious for being fleeting, which makes it not seem so bad when your bi-coastal boo has to return back home after a summer break. But what really hurts is when long-term couples breakup over the summer, putting a dark, looming cloud over what should have been a fun and sun-filled few months. The summer of 2015, especially, showed no mercy when it came to love, and many of my favorite, well-known celeb couplings bit the dust. Although many didn't make it, I want to stay optimistic, so I'm choosing to end the year by celebrating the many celebrity couples who did to survive the 2015 summer of breakups.

In Hollywood, any couple that stays together for more than six months has made quite the achievement. It's difficult to find someone who can grow with you in the spotlight and stand the fame, especially if you aren't in the same industry or aren't at the same level of success, but plenty of celeb couples have done just that. Unfortunately, plenty of these couples also couldn't make it last past whatever was in the air this summer.

Personally, I am still lighting a candle that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner will get back together, because they just make sense. But now that summer is over and winter bae snuggling time is here, let's take a look at 29 celeb couples who survived the summer of 2015, and who will reassure you that it's OK to still believe in love.

1. Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan

These two are just so adorable together and enjoying their time with their two year old daughter, Everly.

2. Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris

Some people didn't believe in Tayvin, and even though they both remained low-key about their relationship on social media over the summer, they are still very much together.

3. Chrissy Teigen & John Legend

These two are so obnoxiously in love, and they announced in October that they're expecting their first child together!

4. Justin Theroux & Jennifer Aniston

Much has been speculated about Jennifer Aniston and her marriage status, but this year she actually did tie the knot when she wed long-term boyfriend Justin Theroux in August.

5. Shakira & Gerard Piqué

Shakira, Piqué, and their two beautiful boys continue to provide us with the most gorgeous celebrity family photos of all time.

6. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

Say what you will about them, but Kardashian and West are two peas in a pod — and definitely meant for each other. They welcomed their second child, Saint West, on Dec. 5.

7. Bella Hadid & The Weeknd

Early in May, reports came out that Hadid and The Weeknd were dating, and later posts on her Instagram pretty much confirmed it. As of right now, the two have stretched out their Coachella romance over the summer and Hadid also stars in The Weeknd's newest video for "In The Night."

8. Vanessa Hudgens & Austin Butler

Vanessa Hudgens continues to live my dream life by traveling around the world (and to plenty of music festivals) with her boyfriend, Austin Butler. The two seem to be as in love as they were when they started dating in 2011!

9. Johnny Depp & Amber Heard

This relationship had its naysayers, but after a year of engagement, Depp and Heard married on his private Bahamas island in February. They are doing so well so far, they even wore matching outfits at his Black Mass premiere in October. I think these kids are gonna make it.

10. Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel

Not only are these two lovebirds still together, but they welcomed their first son, Silas, early in April and have been glowing ever since.

This September, Lively and Reynolds celebrated their third wedding anniversary. They also recently celebrated the first birthday of their daughter, James.

Gosling and Mendes kept their relationship relatively private — until news broke of her pregnancy. In September 2014, Mendes gave birth to their first child, Esmeralda, and this year, they celebrated her first birthday, while rumors came out of their possible engagement. Only time will tell with these two.

Rumors spread earlier this year that Will and Jada were breaking up, and they swiftly put an end to that. For Will's birthday, Jada posted an adorable Facebook dedication to her husband.

These two are so adorable and are so in love and they are still going strong, despite saying they are not ready to get married... yet.

Twigs and Pattinson dealt with a lot of offensive fan criticism when they first got together. They allegedly got engaged in April of this year, and while their marriage plans are reportedly on hold, the couple was recently spotted heading back to London together after a night with mutual friend, Katy Perry.

I had some qualms after Madden debuted a massive "Cameron" tattoo across his chest, but the two lovebirds are now married and still going strong, and quite frankly, I am very happy about that because Diaz deserves it.

I know Hollywood isn't always the easiest place to stay in a happy relationship, but these couples sure are doing something right! (At least, for now.)
