The past few weeks been quite eventful for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, and not just because RHOBH Season 6 recently premiered. Between celebratory moments (like her daughter Gigi Hadid walking the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show) and more heartbreaking news (aka her divorce from David Foster), Yolanda has a lot going on at the moment. Perhaps the most tough to watch is her ongoing struggle with Lyme disease. Not only is she dealing with the chronic illness herself, but she recently revealed that two of her kids — Bella and Anwar Hadid — have it too. On Instagram, Yolanda Foster is raising awareness about Lyme disease and promising to do everything she can to make sure her kids are healthy. She shared a photo of her family's vials of immune system-boosting medicine, along with a thoughtful and optimistic caption. Yolanda wrote,
I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure for my babies so that they can live the healthy life that they deserve to live......... #UnitedWeStand #LDI Low Dose Immune Therapy #Round2 #LymeDiseaseAwerenes
This isn't the first time the RHOBH star said something inspiring, but it's still worth noting. It's incredibly selfless that amongst her own health struggles, she prioritizes making sure that her family is healthy as well. Her strength and optimism are admirable.
Back in October, Yolanda received an award at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala and echoed similar sentiments about putting family first. She even dedicated her award to Bella and Anwar, saying,
This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve. No child should suffer the way that you do.
Although it's heartbreaking that three family members are battling the same illness, it's inspiring that they're so supportive of one another. It's clear that Yolanda is on a mission to not only help her own kids, but help other families fight Lyme disease too.
Just like Yolanda is supporting her kids, her kids are supporting her. Gigi Hadid does not have the disease, but she tries her best to be there for her mom and siblings in whatever ways she can. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight , Gigi said,
My sister is my best friend, my mom is my best friend, my brother is my best friend. And you know when we need each other we're always there and you know automatically no matter what we have.
Clearly Yolanda instilled strong values in her kids. Thanks to her determination, the family is doing everything they can to get through this together. Somebody get the RHOBH star a Mom Of The Year trophy, stat!
