Scented candles are a wonderful way to celebrate all of the year’s holidays, so why not indulge in wonderful festive scented candles to really get into the spirit of things? I don’t know about you, but I definitely associate different times of the year with different smells. Spring brings to mind the scent of flowers, summer makes me think of the salty smell of the ocean and sunscreen, fall conjures up smells of wood fires and forests, and winter reminds me of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Scent can be a powerful sense which can take you back to a certain time or place and give you feelings of nostalgia. I still remember the smell of my grandmother’s homemade pancakes, the aroma of an ex-boyfriend’s cologne, and oddly, the way my childhood dog used to smell. I sometimes wonder if I have a particularly refined sense of smell because I can occasionally smell things which my partner cannot; however this could be down to the fact that apparently women have a better sense of smell than men.
So what about your favorite holidays? What kind of scents do you associate with all of the different holidays of the year? Here are a selection of scented candles for all of the holidays throughout the year, so your home will smell delightful all year round.
