I know that most of you are counting down the days until Christmas, but another important holiday must also be celebrated: National Cookie Day. Sure, you can bake and bite your way into one of these tasty treats, but why not pay tribute to the almighty baked good by wearing a cookie-inspired article of clothing or beauty product? That way, you can truly represent the awesomeness of the cookie in style.

So, exactly what is National Cookie Day? Not to be confused with National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, which is celebrated on May 15, National Cookie Day was launched in 1987 by the Blue Chip Cookie Company. Ever since then, all varieties of the beloved biscuits are honored with bakeries and stores offering discounts on cookies, as well as the hashtag #NationalCookieDay on social media. Many have even taken to posting Sesame Street's Cookie Monster — he who lives on cookies alone — as the honorary spokesperson for cookie lovers everywhere.
