Bella Hadid Rocks Grunge On Chanel Pre-Fall Runway
Stomping it out in all black, Bella Hadid walked in her first Chanel show Tuesday night in Rome for the Pre-Fall 2016 runway. Although she has appeared in plenty other fashion shows, this was a rare appearance without her sister Gigi, and she completely rocked it. Not only did she prove to be a modeling pro, but she also showed that grunge is officially back. Grab your black nail polish and heavy eyeliner, because Hadid is about to make you want to channel your inner grunge-goth (the Karl Lagerfeld-styled version, of course).
Hadid stepped onto the runway in the perfect combination of leather and lace, making a case for high fashion grunge like you've never seen it before. With a smokey eye, patterned fishnets, and a little bit of sass, the 19-year-old proved her top model status in this killer outfit. The best part about her performance was how wearable the star made this outfit look. If there's one thing I regret about my time as a '90s kid, it's not taking complete advantage of the grunge era, but now it looks like I'm getting a second chance.
"I love this, because all I wear is black," Hadid told InStyle about her styling for the show. She also posted a photo with a heartfelt caption on Instagram about how excited she was to be in the show. Calling her time on the Chanel runway a "dream come true," she posted a picture of her looking fierce in patterned fishnets, a heavy coat, and a flower and leather dress — one of her two outfits for the show.
This might has been the star's first time on the Chanel runway, but it wasn't the first time she's got to celebrate her love for dark colors in a fashion show. From tight dresses to cutout maxis, there really is no style that Hadid can't rock. Don't believe me? See for yourself.
1. All Black Everything
Hadid rocked her signature color at the H&M x Balmain show. Those wrist cuffs mixed with a little bit of attitude made for the perfect look.
2. A Little Lighter
She wore a textured long-sleeved mini for her second H&M x Balmain outfit, but this time she brought some color onto the runway.
3. Pop Of Gold
Looking more elegant and sassy than ever, Hadid looked fierce on the Balmain runway in black with a pop of gold.
4. Cutouts Galore
Hitting the runway during Milan Fashion Week, the star made showing some skin look completely effortless.
5. Lace And Fur
She switched up her all-black attire during the Marc Jacobs show, but the little bit of black lace made this outfit just her style.
6. '60s Inspired
Hadid's Jeremy Scott outfit might have featured a bright color, but she rocked some hardcore fishnets and boots.
7. Front Row Style
Even when she's just watching the show, she proves that she really is the queen of dark colors.
She might be young, but it looks like Hadid's already found her signature style!
