Kim Kardashian Shares Positive Update About Baby

by Allyson Koerner

Here's some good news regarding Kimye's baby. Kim Kardashian's baby is no longer breech, the reality starlet announced on her website Tuesday. "This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an external cephalic version (ECV), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position." Apparently, it wasn't a pain-free process and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star even described it as possibly being worse than giving birth.

She wrote, "They don’t give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth." However, it was worth it because it worked and her son with husband Kanye West turned. Per her post, the procedure she underwent (which took the work of three doctors) came with risks, including that her water might break or the baby's heart rate would drop. Thankfully, none of that happened.

At 37 weeks along, Kardashian was worried that she might have to undergo a C-section if her son remained breech. She first announced he was breech near the end of November and now she can relax until it's time to give birth. "My baby is in the right position and it feels so good to not have the stress of thinking I need a C-section," the 35-year-old E! star wrote. "I'm so thankful for my doctors!"

Now, it looks like she is taking some much needed time for herself. She's even sending North West over to her sister's Kourtney Kardashian's house for a few days. "I’m going to have North have a sleepover with her cousins for the next two days so I can really sleep and get better,” Kardashian added. "She loves sleepovers and I really need this time to get better. I haven’t been able to sleep and just need to catch up."

Here's hoping Kardashian gets all the rest she truly needs.
